The Creative Cultural Workshops Project aims promoted the integration of the refugee communities with the local population in the area of Ioannina through the direct participation of more than 40 refugees in creative workshops.
It proposes craft activities and creative writing sessions. The Creative Craft Workshop offers to the participants the opportunity to learn about the felt technique and create different accessories in the beautiful environment of the Zagori area while the Creative Writing Workshop proposes to the participants reportage techniques and audiovisual tools to write and convey stories about their communities.
These activities organized on a weekly basis in the city of Ioannina and the village of Elafotopos during the 4month project will provide the participants with know-how in craft techniques and writing process and reinforce the links between the refugee and host communities through common activities (participation in the workshops, visits to museums and local associations, participation in events and festivals). The final products will be presented to the population of Ioannina during a final event.

The project entitled Promote peaceful Coexistence with local communities in Northern Greece and Epirus is implemented in the framework of the Funding Scheme for Community Based Organizations Micro Grants Project coordinated and funded by INTERSOS and UNHCR.
